Mixed by Design (MBD) is proud to offer new services that cater to our customers’ diverse needs.

Our team of talented designers and stylists are ready to create the perfect furniture and/or accessories package for you and your home.

Check out our new Design Center in the shop, where you'll find a wide variety of wallpaper, rugs, bedding collections, and an exclusive furniture and lighting catalog to shop from.

Walk in, schedule an appointment, or take it to the next level and schedule and in-home appointment with one of our fabulous designers to create the perfect package for you!

  • 'THE DIY-ER'

    A thoughtful, seasonally updated, in-store design center stocked with a rug sample program, wallpapers, bedding and more, plus an exclusive digital catalog of additional furniture and lighting options pulled together by the lead designers of R Johnston Interiors.

    THE DEETS

    • Cost: Free to use at your liesure when open and not reserved
    • Appointment needed: Nope!
    • Dedicated Staff: Our helpful MBD crew is always available for advise and opinions!

  • 'IN-STORE CONSULTATION'

    A pre-set appointment with one of our talented MBD Designers. We will reserve the Design Center for you and we are all yours for an hour! Bring in photos and measurements of your space and let us help you pull together an accessories or furniture package.

    THE DEETS

    • Cost: $250 deposit/fee. With a min. $500 spend within one week of consultation. (fee is put towards purchase amount)
    • Appointment needed: Yes, this ensures we have a dedicated designer there for you, and our Design Center is waiting for you!
    • Dedicated Staff: Yes! We are all yours for one hour!

'IN HOME DESIGN SERVICES'

SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT TODAY!

  • The perfect option for someone looking for the services of a professional designer but not at the scale of a full service design firm like R Johnston Interiors.

    .

    Our talented MBD Designer will come to your home for a one hour appointment to measure and/or to take stock of what you are already working with, then schedule a one hour in-store consultation to understand your needs and goals.

  • They will pull together an accessories or furniture package to fit your needs, budget and aesthetic which will be sent to you digitally. They will then schedule a one hour in person review at the store to refine your selections.

    This service includes installation and staging of your room so you can sit back and enjoy! Its the renowned R Johnston Interiors experience one room at a time!

  • THE DEETS

    • Cost: This service has no “fee”, but we do require a minimum $500 deposit for an accessories package with a $1000 miniumum purchase, or a $1000 deposit for a furniture package with a $5000 minimum purchase. 100% of your deposit goes to the final purchase amount!
    • Appointment needed: Yes, we will work with you to schedule the initial consulation in store, in-home visit, the in store design review, and the installation date!
    • Dedicated Staff: You will be working with a dedicated MBD Designer who will get to know you and work on creating the design package of your dreams!

FAQ

CAN I VIEW RUGS ONLINE?

At this time, no. We cannot list our rug collection online, but invite you to come down to the shop on Main Street to shop the rugs in person. This way you can see, touch, and feel the quality - as well as the most accurate color representation.

HOW DO I SEE PRICING?

In-Store all rug samples are labeled on the back with a line list of available sizes and pricing.

CAN I BORROW THE SAMPLES TO TAKE HOME?

Yes, we allow up to four sample at a time to be taken home. We however request you return those samples within 3 business days. All loaners will incur a $25 deposit fully refundable once returned.

CAN I ORDER A SAMPLE?

Yes, you may order 18’’ samples in select designs of most collections for $25 with free shipping within the Continental U.S. 18" samples are not eligible for return. For more information, please email hello@mixedbydesignshop.com

If customer orders a rug, we will credit you the cost of the sample back, once sample has been returned to the shop

WHAT IS THE COST FOR SHIPPING?

We ship all rugs for free and directly to you!

WHAT IS THE LEAD TIME?

All in-stock rugs will ship within 5-10 days. Backordered rugs will ship as soon as available. Please check with a sales associate for current stock status of rugs.

WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?

All orders made through Mixed By Design are eligible for in-store credit only. Returns must be made within 5 business days upon arrival to customers’ home. Rugs must be re-rolled and in original condition. Any damages found to the rug must be reported within 3 days.

The following items are ineligible for return:

  • Rugs damaged by use
  • Rugs past the aforementioned dates
  • Rugs modified in any manor
  • Final Sales

Defective Merchandise

If you encounter a defect in your product, please reach out to MBD via Email (hello@mixedbydesignshop.com) ASAP, or by calling the store during business hours. Please ensure someone has responded to your message. Damages must be reported within 3 days. Please always unroll and check rugs immediately, even if not being installed. Mixed By Design is not responsible for any returns or claims after above mentioned dates.

Store Credit

Store credit will be applied to a Mixed By Design Gift Card to be used against a replacement rug order or any other use. No exceptions will be made to credit type.
